You mean the red-dot sight? You just aim, L1 isn't it? And you can find two snipers. One is the Dragonov; you find that in the wee hot before you kill the beast that escapes from the truck that rolls over (Not sure it's name, but you have to shoot it's under-belly to kill it). The other sniper you find is the most powerful, or effective in my eyes; you find it erm, well it's hard too explain its around chapter 4-2 I think....it's in a small room which has a lever you have too pull (before that room theres a guy, and also that bit massive spider looking thing that you have to shoot in the stomach then the wee white things pop up and you shoot them to kill it (it sprays out this gas that makes you dizzy).. and in that room, the sniper rifle is.
