Default [Question] Halo 3 Map Packs

i recently stumbled across a site that i found xboxsoftmods.org, while going through the site i noticed there was maps on there so after downloading a map from the halo 3 section and Xbox Live content download maps (NEW MAPS), i found the file in the sandbox.rar was called sandbox.map, does this mean i could put this map and the rest of the maps onto my xbox360 hdd and play them through that instead of downloading them through the marketplace and having to pay ms points.
By the way if any one has a migration kit could you please try this to see if it works you will have to put it in your content folder {000000000000}, i would try but i dont have my migration kit yet.

To moderaters if the link provided is not allowed please remove.

First off, ConsoleSpot probably isn't the place for this. Not a lot of users have 360, let alone know how to connect their HDD their PC.
Second, you can't place marketplace content on your harddrive. They are LIVE containers which cannot be resigned. Not only that but there are DRM files on your 360 that you cannot touch which activate the map pack.

In short, you can't do it.

EDIT:
Wow, you were talking about the maps themselves. Your 360 won't even read them if they aren't in a CON or LIVE container.

i dont think the files need resigning because you can use map sharing on halo 3 if you dont know what that is its like second profile glitching but with maps so it should work i just need some one to try it
and the files arnt usermaps they are the actual maps and are around 100mb each file.

Trust Xander and I, we are very deep into the Xbox 360 scene and that will not work, they are merely put up just to examine and learn knowledge from and like Xander said they are not even in a Con/Live file of any sort, just .map files.

and btw game content is saved as PIRS so it might still be possible, if they can be compressed into these file sets.

You cannot by any means, under any circumstances, use ANY purchased content on another HDD/360. Not only that, but the 360 will NOT read any file that is not in a container.

Is more or less the same as PIRS. It cannot be resigned. If you can't resign it, you can't move to the content to another HDD. Also, like I said before, you couldn't even use the maps without the proper licenses. The 360 KNOWS that they're paid DLC, so it checks for the licenses either on your 360's NAND or online.

The only way to "copy" DLC is by giving someone else an account that purchased the DLC and using that account to download it. But every time you want to use that DLC you'd have to sign in with the account first.
