Default [Help] Xbox 360 Controller

Ok here goes. About a day ago I was playing Stranglehold and the game randomly froze. The controller was stuck rumbling and I could'nt turn if off the normal way. So I turned off the 360 by perssing the big -0 button. I turn it back on, and everything seemed okay.

Today I go and turn on my 360, Again, everythings fine, until I plug my charge and play to the controller. It doesnt want to charge. I thought it was completely broken, but, with the baattery out, and chagre and play in. I can still turn on the 360

*The battery is not dead, I can still use it wirelessly. It just wont charge.
*I take care of my 360 (More than my psp lol), no mods or anything of that matter.
*Stranglehold is not scratched, all of my games are well taken care of.

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section. I'm more of a psp guy

Have you tried a different charge/play cable, or a different port for the cable, or connecting the cable to the controller first and then plug it to the 360?

I've tried all of what you said except try a different charge/play cable because this is my only one.

Well, you could try it with a friend either by testing your controller or testing another controller with the cable. I'm just throwing suggestions out in the dark since I never had a problem like this, but I've had plenty of annoyances with other peripherals due to faulty cables.

Yeah, tomarrow I'm gonna try using the charge/play on my friends 360 to see if it'll charge. Thanks for all of your help though.
