    Default how do i format a hdd to work with 360

    i just a 360 it is an arcade and doesnt have a hard drive. i was looking at some vids on youtube and noticed that the hdd inside the case for a 360 hdd is the same kind as my laptop hdd i dont use any more(idk if it is the same brand though) i was woundering if i buy a broken 360hdd will i be able to use my 250gb laptop hdd or do i have to do some formatting?

    Are you sure it uses a 2'5 hdd? Be sure before you start buying stuff that's not gonna work, just sayin'.

    I've never heard of it done, except on a ps3, of course.

    yea im pretty sure i looked up alot of videos on it and its a 2.5 sata hdd

    Sounds pretty cool man. You'd probably have to modchip the 360 or something though just like you would if you wanted to play backup games. I'm not sure, though. I don't know if the 360 would just be like "fuck off" and stop working. But hey, it sounds like a really friggen cool idea and be sure to post results if you move on with it!

    i heard that new 360 bundles are comming with 250gb hdd's so why wouldn't this work the only thing that i might have to do is format it which is what im asking to what format should i format it to? (yes i know when i format it i loose all data on the hdd)
