Microsoft has been rumored to drop its price by at least 30% on the Xbox 360 Pro Edition around August 2008. The package includes 20 GB HDD, wireless controller, ethernet cable, Xbox 360 Headset, Hybrid Component/Composite (HD/SD), HDMI port, Xbox Live membership. With all this included the rumored price instead of the current $349.99 will be cut to $299.99 Microsoft hopes to gain more sales by lowering the price of the Pro Package, in order to maintain a good image so they can appeal to more gamers. Microsoft might also soon be lowering the price on the Xbox elite and the separate 120GB HDD.

this company sold it all in one, no live cost no extra HD dvd atachment, and many other things the ps3 already comes as an ellite version but they just don't make such a big deal about it.
I got a XB360 as a B-day gift last year... I'm still 100% behind sony but I do have to admit that PSN needs some work to keep up with XBL. This price cut is nice, but in reality I think it's a cut to combat the MGS4 sales...

Jeez when will everybody realize that microsoft actually did good with 360, and that sony failed miserably. Considering how well sony has done with ps1, ps2, psp, and how poor microsoft did with xbox. Ive played countless hours on both systems now and the truth is the ps3 is like a sleeker system but they are both basicaly the same shyt.
360 needs to drop the system to $200 and then advertise the shyt out of it at $200. Like how nintedo did with gaycube. Sales will increase drastically. Sony simply charged to much at launch for the product to make any real impact up to now. They need a price cut to $250 in my opinion.
Its like how apple did with the stupid iphone. At launch charged too much. Did that price cut to $400, still nothing, and now the price cut to $200 will see a great rise in sales.
The price cuts for the ps3 and 360 need to happen in no more than a year to the ammount i stated in my opinion. :up:
