Launched in October 2012, Sony announced today that PlayStation Mobile will be discontinued later this year. As of July 15, 2015, the distribution of content will end, then on September 10, 2015, in-app purchases/re-downloads of purchased content will be discontinued. Additionally, September 10 sees PlayStation Mobile for Android becoming unavailable. If you have PlayStation Mobile content that you want to play after September 10, you’ll need to connect to the internet and activate your device. Sony adds, "Please ensure that you have downloaded all of the games that you want to keep. After September 10, 2015, you will not be able to re-download your purchased content." As well, "Devices that are not authenticated prior to September 10, 2015 will be unable to access previously purchased PSM content after that date."
