As we all know, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be showing in the Theaters later this week. But who wants to just watch the Autobots and Decepticons on the big screen, when you could be one! That's right, Activision has put together a Transformers video game to match the story of the upcoming movie. Here is the launch trailer of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game:
The game looks rather decent, that is for a game that was whipped up right before its matching movie release. Unfortunately, when you have a game that is released on so many different platforms, it is hard to meet specific expectations. The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game will be out on Tuesday, June 23rd for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2, and PC.
Don't have a credit card to use with your Playstation Network Account? The Playstation Network Cards are now availible in Canada.
They are availible in $20, or $50. You can go purchase them at GameStop and EB Games. In the next weeks, or months, you can get them at Future Shop, Best Buy, HMV, The Source by Circuit City, and Rogers Plus.
So it’s finally been announced, Crytek the developers of the Crysis franchise aswell as the original FarCry have announced Crysis 2, coming to consoles and PCs near you. Check out the teaser:
Sadly no real info has actually been released about the game yet apart from this rather vague teaser. However if the game lives up to the hype and the legacy of both Crysis and Crysis:Warhead it is surly going to be a truly brilliant time for gaming. However one has to stop and think, can Crytek achieve the amount of model and texture detail on console hardware of what they could on the PC? Just really got to hope that this isn't going to be a massive flop here by Crytek in that it is either an awful port from PC to Console or vice-versa. So what’s the opinion on you XBOX'ers and PS3'ers out there who said "Pff who cares if PC has Crysis, it’s just one game!" changed your opinion now?
The first look at EA DICE's Battlefield Bad Company 2's multiplayer has been unveiled in an all new trailer. Although the trailer lacks the humor previously found in the first game, it does include lots of action with: choppers, tanks, jets and snow!
From the looks of it, the game looks to be more polished than the original and the environment is as destructible as before. Also new, is the medic's method of restoring people back to health, this time they'll be using defilibrators.
I think we can expect to see more of this game come E3; until then watch the trailer below and then share your thoughts by leaving a comment.
[Update] Added new screenshots released by DICE. Click to enlarge, enjoy!
It's Thursday again and you know what that means? New PlayStation Store content. This week I'll be covering both the US and European store updates and will continue doing so every week. Now you guys on the other side of the pond will be kept in the loop on what's new.
Lets start off with this week's US PlayStation Store update: we get a look at inFAMOUS, some monster related content, and a couple of classic PS1 games.
The soon to be released inFAMOUS got a demo as well as 3 other games, one of them being Monster Hunter Freedom Unite for the PSP. Speaking of monsters, LittleBigPlanet received some new monster downloadable content. A new monsters level kit and also 4 new monster costumes to dress up your sackboy/girl. Last but not least Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Ford Racing from the PS1 era have been released.
On the EU side of the store: they too get 4 demos, the LBP monster content, and the old school PS1 game Creatures 3: Raised in Space.
Check out the full list of everything new, for both the US and EU stores, past the break by clicking on the read more link below.
Today's PlayStation Store update brings lots of new stuff and as well as a bunch of free stuff.
Thanks to Sprint, Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic will be available for free this entire week for the U.S. PlayStation Store. If you recently bought this game, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. I'm quite glad I didn't spend my money on this game a few days ago when I was highly considering it.
The other free stuff includes the ZEN Pinball demo, some new vehicle skins for Motorstorm Pacific Rift, downloadable character Daxter —yes from the Jak and Daxter series— for PAIN, three new Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 mission packs, and not really having to do with the store update, but also free is the new “Chamber” apartment in PlayStation Home for this week only. Also for one week only, Bionic Commando Rearmed has gotten a 5 dollar discount and is now $4.99; definitely worth checking out!
As for the rest of this week's update, find it after the break by clicking on the read more link below.
Originally I was going to post a small note about the recently announced PS3 firmware update coming soon, but it seems it's already out and ready for download.
Over at the PlayStation blog, Sony gave a small announcement about their newest PlayStation 3 firmware update 2.76. Nothing really was mentioned other than that it "improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software." One can only guess what that really means.
I think this minor update is in preparation for just another update to follow after Sony's E3 press conference this year, which is only a few weeks away. Your thoughts?
A new challenging puzzle game will be added to the PSN this summer, according to new independent developer Capy. The game is called Critter Crunch, and it was originally created for the iPhone. It seems that the game was such a hit, because Capy has decided to remake the game for the PlayStation Network.
The game features a food chain puzzle mechanic, which is all about feeding critters into each other until they burst. The adorable art style will be remade in 1080p and the game will feature PlayStation trophies as well as versus and co-op multiplayer modes, which will be available both online and offline.
Surprising enough, the game seems a bit enjoyable as a matter of fact. Check out the video that is provided below, and just look at those cute, colorful little critters. But don't judge them too quickly, because they are actually carnivorous monsters who constantly throw-up their meals. Enjoy.
A new little teaser video for Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 was released recently. The trailer was shown during the NBA Eastern Conference game and was surprising short. The video runs for about 16 seconds, only revealing limited details about the game. If you take a look at the video below, it seems that it is a bit of a montage of cutscenes from the game's missions.
Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2009. Still puzzled about the game? There will be a Modern Warfare World Premiere showing more footage of the game during the Eastern Conference finals on May 24.
Rockstar has launched the first trailer for their new game in the wild west, Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption is described as a western epic, early twentieth century, when the chaos and lack of laws established in the wild west started to place the extension of government and the industrial era. The game aims a wicked story, John Marston and his adventures along the U.S. border.
Rockstar is using their proprietary graphics engine, Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (Rage), used recently in the Grand Theft Auto IV. Players will be able to enjoy an open-world "that includes the border cities, full of life and through dangerous mountain passes".
