Believe it or not, but PS3 just turned three years old. To celebrate, PS2 is officially launching in Brazil. What's even more interesting is the price. Believe it or not.
As you may recall, about the time PS3 Slim launched, PS3's in general had a 100$ (USD) price cut. Meaning the price dropped from 399$ down to 299$.
The thing is, somehow, Sony thought a reasonable PS2 price would be 450$. That's 150$ more then the original PS3 price.
Now, even though there obviously is no PS3 support there either, there apparently are some older PS3 games on sale at the very generous price of 115$.
New day, new rumor. According to this one, Sony is in the works of making an agreement with Mozilla. It seems as Sony wants to upgrade the built in browser to a new and fresh FireFox one.
This rumor, like any other Playstation rumor, started by an insider who claims to have recieved tip-off from a source very near Sony.
According to him, it's nothing but words so far. But what do you know? The PS3 slim also started out as a rumor from a tip-off leaked by a Playstation insider.
Hopefully, this is another of those rumors, that actually comes true.
FireFox in the PlayStation 3 might end up giving the users more customization ability and plugin features.
Currently, it's unclear if the deal got closed or not, but either way it shouldn't be too long before we find out.
As you may know, Microsoft recently released a dashboard update that brought several new social networking features to the Xbox 360. Looks like Sony is quickly reacting, because the company just announced that firmware 3.1 for PS3 will include Facebook integration. Now, your Facebook account can be linked directly to your PSN profile. This will allow you to automatically update your news feed with Trophy and PlayStation Store activity.
Although this update's main focus is the Facebook integration feature, it also includes a revamped photo browser and the ability to change the font color of your PSN ID. Well just look for yourself. Here is a video walk-through of PS3 Firmware 3.1.

Looks like they changed their minds after all. When previously asked if the God of War Collection was going to include a God of War III demo on the Blu-ray disc, Sony's John Hight said a demo for GOW III wasn't in the plans.
Now it looks like we will be getting a demo alongside the upcoming God of War compilation, only it won't actually be on the disc. When you purchase the collection, you'll receive a voucher to download the demo off of the PlayStation Network. The demo is that of which was first featured at this year's E3 expo, then also at Comic-Con and PAX; giving you a chance to experience a piece of God of War III before its March 2010 release.
As already reported, God of War Collection features God of War and God of War II from the PS2 in 720p resolution, 60 frames per second, and with an all new set of trophies for each game; all on one Blu-ray disc and is set to release sometime this November.
As promised, Sony has just rolled out a patch for the issues brought along with firmware update 3.00. So if you were one of the many who had problems with playing Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, now's the time to fire up your PS3 to get your fix on.
This new update is said to be a fix for the issues people were having with certain game titles — specifically Uncharted: Drake's Fortune — after updating to firmware 3.00. The update is optional, so if you really don't feel like updating, you don't have to, but might as well right? Now feel free to go back to shooting some baddies alongside mister Nathon Drake.
